This is the short version of how dropshipping works, especially in Central BizHub Malls.

Opening a small specialty store was once a great way to fund your lifestyle and your retirement.
And it still is...if you do it online.
Main Street shops and shops in physical malls may be in decline, but the ecommerce world is booming.
By setting up an online storefront, also known as dropshipping, you can launch a specialty store without having to invest a lot of money. And because the store is automated, you can sell to customers all over the world, 24/7, from anywhere you want to be.
Below, we explain how the dropshipping process works. We also give you some pointers to help you get your store up and running.
The Quick, Easy Way to Get Your Online Store Up and Running.
If you regularly use the internet to shop online, you've likely browsed or bought something from a dropshipping store...and not even realized it.
To the consumer, dropshipping sites look and feel exactly like any other online store. You can look through the products, order an item, and have it delivered to your home or business. But behind the scenes, things work quite differently from a typical online store.
This is because dropshipping sites are storefronts, so they don't actually hold any inventory. And this makes them significantly easier to set up and operate.
What Is Dropshipping?
Many people may not be familiar with the term dropshipping, but it's a growing part of the ecommerce industry worldwide.
To become a dropshipper, the most important platform you'll need to learn about is Central BizHub Malls (CBM).
As a dropshipper, you basically act as an Agent for your supplier/s.
First, you need to subscribe to the BizHub Tenant Bundle as a Journeyman or Expert Tenant.
Your only outlay is R550 or R695 pm.
We will build you an exclusive ecommerce storefront and private shop in our online Mall to attract customers, and you can add products to an industry-specific category (public shop) in the mall where your products will be combined with those of other sellers in the same industry. Then when a customer places an order, you contact your supplier and have them ship the item directly to the customer, using their preferred courier service.
This way, you never have to worry about shipping logistics, storage space, or unsold stock.
Plus, because you don't need to hold any inventory, you don't need a lot of working capital to get started. So if you love, say, sports equipment but lack the capital to fund a typical online or brick-and-mortar retail business, you can set up an online dropshipping store and start selling sports equipment on behalf of a supplier without breaking the bank.
Of course, while this business model may sound straightforward, you need to know which tools and platforms to use to build your store and achieve success.

When it comes to starting and running a successful dropshipping business, what matters most is finding your niche. There are millions of options to choose from, but not all will be profitable.
The best way to identify a profitable dropshipping product is to ensure that demand is high and sustainable. The product must also have a “WOW” factor, so that it naturally attracts an audience.
And ideally, competition in the niche should be low.
Many niches have high demand, but strong competition, so you'll find it hard to stand out.
Others will have low competition but little “WOW” factor, so the demand may not be high enough to sustain a business.
Use Google! Type in a question, eg: “Best selling items online” or “Best items for dropshippers to sell online”. Read all the replies, then make your decision.
NOTE! BizHub has a few excellent products that can be dropshipped. Contact Us for details.
Building an online store is one thing. Getting people to visit it is another.
Many dropshipping stores have disappeared because of a failure to attract customers.
I can almost guarantee that none of these stores were in an online mall!
There are various ways of driving customers to your store, but the mediums that have worked best for us are social media - Google, Facebook and Instagram ads, Youtube ads - plus word-of-mouth and “influencers”. Social media advertising is an effective way to expand your reach and find customers, especially via Youtube, Instagram and Pinterest.
I also enjoy going to see people and telling them about my store, then showing it to them on my laptop or phone, where they can buy and make immediate payment.
With influencers, you need to find a high-profile person in your niche, like a marketing expert, blogger or podcaster, and ask them to help promote your site. All these methods cost money, but an investment in advertising is generally necessary to build an online business.
Once you get people coming to your online store, you need to learn the art of converting a browser into a customer. A crucial approach here is retargeting, showing ads to people who previously browsed your site to get them to come back and make a purchase.
This is something you can do through online advertising. (You MUST have an advertising budget).
Once you learn these basics, the process of dropshipping will be demystified and you'll have your dropshipping store up and running in no time.
BizHub Admin's Note: As we explain, nowadays you don't need to be a technical guru to open an online store. Using the dropshipping model, you can launch your store in just 30 days (or less), and start earning as much as R300,000 a year from working part-time.
